iWalkWaiheke aims to foster a greater understanding and connection to the culture and ecology of Waiheke Island by
practicing our key guiding principles: 

• Focus on providing a learning experience that provides a greater understanding and appreciation of the native environment, with cultural aspects that remain sensitive to both Maori and Pakeha connections to the land;
• Promoting an efficient waste minimisation and recycling practice; 
• Efficient practice of water conservation, natural pest eradication and energy efficiency;
• Participating in local conservation initiatives, care of local land and wildlife, and involvement in community activities.
• Supporting other local businesses;
• Compliance with our Responsible Travel policy.
